Blitz tournaments in Hamburg and Ahrensburg 7

Blitz in Hamburg is a monthly habit. The Hamburger Schachklub plays its blitz tournament on the first Monday of each month at 19:00, open to members and guests; the Schachfreunde Hamburg hold their Monatsblitz on the first Thursday in the parish hall of the Dreifaltigkeitskirche; and the Schachklub Wilhelmsburg plays a monthly blitz at five minutes a side in the AWO meeting place on Rotenhäuser Wettern.

In Ahrensburg the Ahrensburger TSV runs a monthly blitz over six rounds at three minutes plus two seconds, with separate youth editions. The Blitz-Elo-Challenge of the Schachvereinigung Blankenese is rated, and the federation decides its Hamburg blitz titles in an individual and a team championship early in the year. The entries give the dates of the editions that the calendar lists.
